Kitchen and lounge refresh
The kitchen and lounge needed a refresh. So using colour, I injected new life into the two areas by painting the kitchen cabinets a soft green, allowing the inside to come in, and adding paint to the wall in the lounge to anchor the space.
Bedroom creation
A bedroom was created in an industrial style loft using a room divider to divide the room from the lounge; the back of which became a space for a bookshelf in the lounge and a hanging wardrobe in the bedroom. The room was painted in midnight blue to create a cosy room for a good nights' sleep!
Bathroom renovation
An outdated bathroom was in desperate need of a refresh. Subway tiles were added from floor to ceiling and patterned floor tiles gave this bathroom the lift it needed.
Master Bathroom remodel
A tired and small looking master bathroom was in desperate need of a refresh. I suggested that we break through to the tiny office and create one big, light and airy spa-like oasis!
Panama City Wooden House
A beautiful wooden house in Ancon, Panama City was the blank template for a boho, rustic look and feel, fitting in beautifully with the natural surroundings of mango and palm trees, birds, butterflies and wildlife.
Sea Point Penthouse Suite
For this project, I was approached by the owner to interior decorate his brand new 3 level, 3 bedroomed penthouse suite in Sea Point with a clean contemporary style. I gave each room its own colour theme keeping in mind the location; beautiful sea & mountain views with huge skies & open plan living. Each room received a beautifully framed photograph photographed by myself.
Observatory loft
For this project, the kitchen was gutted completely & moved to the end of the room. Retro black & white tiles were laid on the floor & subway tiles on the wall as a back-splash to the stove & sink area. The bathroom was extended to include the washing machine & unit for all bathroom products. New floor tiles were laid, the sink unit was updated to a modern unit & the shower head & taps were updated with hardware that has a matt black finish. The wallpaper is of an image shot by me while on a trip to NYC in 2013. Two mezzanine levels were built thus converting the open plan into an industrial style two mezzanine loft.
Plumstead Flat
For this project, the kitchen was gutted & rebuilt. The blue carpet was removed & replaced with a light oak laminate flooring throughout. New lighting was bought for the kitchen & lounge areas. Blinds were made to cover the big open windows. The bathroom was repainted in blue & white stripes & a shower added over the bath. A built in cupboard was added in front of the bathroom sliding door. Both the front door & bedroom doors were painted blue thus bringing through the feature colour throughout.
Rondebosch Flat
For this project, the top kitchen cabinetry was removed & replaced with floating shelves thus opening up the kitchen. Additional lighting was added to go above the kitchen island. The orange coloured laminate flooring was replaced with light oak laminate flooring. Wallpaper from an image I shot, was applied to the feature wall in the bedroom. The bathroom sink was removed & replaced with a vintage unit with the basin on top. The whole flat was repainted in Plascon Silver & a deep blue stripe running along the top of the wall was painted in the kitchen & lounge area thus anchoring the space.
